Botanical Gardens Health - A Castlemaine Medical Practice

Catch up on HPV vaccination - Did you or your child miss out on the HPV vaccine at school?  The HPV vaccine is provided for free to children aged 12 to 13 through school-based programs and protects against nine types of HPV which cause most cervical cancers, other HPV-related cancers and genital warts.  Australians aged 25 and under who missed getting the HPV vaccine in school can catch up for free through their Doctor.  Please call us to book an appointment to get up to date on your HPV vaccination.  Find out more about HPV and the HPV vaccine by visiting  https://hpvvaccine.org.au/.

Botanical Gardens Health is dedicated to providing personalised, professional, quality services across a wide range of medical and support services.  We have a team of dedicated and friendly staff and Doctors who will be pleased to assist you with your healthcare needs.

Whilst we do still offer telehealth appointments if you are unwell, we encourage you to come into the clinic wherever possible.  We are a private billing clinic unless you have a concession card or are a child 15 years and under.  Medicare now require us to gain consent from you in order to bulk bill any telehealth appointments.  If you have been bulk billed for a telephone or video consultation, once billing has been processed by reception you will receive a notification from HotDoc.  This will most likely be an SMS.  Please click on the link and enter your name, DOB and consent.  Please speak to reception if you'd like further information.

Masks are no longer compulsory, but we do ask that you continue to let us know if you're unwell in anyway.  If you have cough/ cold symptoms please let reception know when you are booking your appointment.

Botanical Gardens Health is an accredited training practice, which regularly hosts GP registrars from Royal Australian College of General Practice as well as Australian College of Rural & Remote Medicine. You may notice that some doctors only stay on for 12 months.  This is because they are required to move onto another training practice to complete the remainder of their training.  RACGP and ACRRM appreciate the clinics ongoing commitment to training GP registrars, with such enthusiastic and committed doctors here, GP registrars are always keen to come to Castlemaine to undertake some of their training. We hope that by encouraging registrars to come to Castlemaine, in time, some may choose to stay on at the end of their general practice training.

We are unable to take calls between 1-2pm.  If your matter is urgent during this time, you're welcome to email us.

Please remember Doctors, Nurses and staff are doing their best to provide you with the most safe and effective care possible.  Abuse towards anyone will not be tolerated.

We currently have a position available for a full time VR General Practitioner.  Please forward your application letter and CV to info@botanicalgardenshealth.com.au

Unfortunately we are unable to accept new patients.
